polly, as well as our gallery manager, is a practising artist and we are proud to present a selection of her new paintings for our summer show. she trained as an art historian at the courtauld institute in london and has always had a passion for art which has led her to take up painting once more. whilst producing one off originals in oil, watercolour and acrylic she has also had some important commissions in the last year and has become a popular local artist whose work has been described as colourful, uplifting and expressive. polly is fascinated by european modernity and has a particular love for matisse and picasso who inspire her use of colour, form and naivety.
